THE BRIDGE (GRADES 5 AND 6)

Growing closer to God and others as we seek to be the "generation change."

The Bridge is the Tween Ministry at University Church of Christ. Our goal is to provide a bridge between the Children's ministry and the Youth group. We provide activities to help the students grow closer to God and others in a caring and supportive environment. We feel that the transition to the teen group is easier if the students already have a strong bond of friendship with each other.

Through monthly activities, students prepare for the experiences they will have in the youth program in a more controlled atmosphere.

The most important focus is that each child grows closer to God. We emphasize our Bible study and encourage discussion. Our studies encourage the students to participate, discuss the topics, and give the students information to support their beliefs in their everyday lives.

Another major focus is service. We seek to be a generation that will change the world. With a strong foundation in Christ and a desire to serve others, this generation can make a great impact on the world around us. We seek to be the "generation change" that God calls us to be.
