Orphan Care
Why Orphan Care?
The Bible mentions caring for widows and orphans over 40 times. In fact, James 1:27 says
one measure of faith is whether we care for widows and orphans in their distress.
What is the orphan care committee?
As a support to several in our church and community who are responding to God's call to adopt,
the elders at University formed The Orphan Care Committee in 2010.
Purpose:
*to promote the care of the orphan by mobilizing the church through prayer, adoption,
fostering, mission work and financial sponsorships through other organizations.
*to support families at University Church and Giving Hope Homes in their work
of adopting and fostering children.
