Homeless Mission

Mission Statement
Show the love of Christ to the poor and homeless in our community by meeting their physical
and spiritual needs in collaboration with other churches and community organizations.

Mission Goals
Provide food, clothing, shelter and other tangible needs
Provide prayers, Bible studies, mentoring, nurturing and support
Equip church members on how to engage and help needy individuals

Mission Volunteers Can

*Prepare, sell and distribute B.A.G.S

*Volunteer at local soup kitchens, shelters and free clinics

*Conduct Bible studies at homeless locations and shelters

*Pray for the homeless mission and the specific requests of homeless individuals

*Research homeless needs in Tuscaloosa

*Identify and work with partner churches and community organizations

*Organize and conduct training classes and informational sessions

*Provide room and board to individuals in need

*Organize meals for the poor and homeless

*Organize coats, clothes and supply drives
